We started our RV renovation this weekend. We had 2 days vacation on top of the weekend so it was a great time to start. I started with the trim around the tip out that has the desk. All of the inside bits will be removed I started with a good sanding on all of the doors and any other surface, the cabinet undersides as well as several other places had a sticker and were not wood. The trim along the top is plastic.  We did luck out though and the majority is solid wood. Taping off was the hardest part, it took forever! I removed and worked with fairly small sections at a time. Sanding, two coats of paint ( I used Benjamin Moore’s Rockport grey cut by 50%) the paint I used was home hardware cabinet and furniture, with plaster of Paris added to it. We finally managed to get the trailer up to the property on Monday. There were a few bumps in the road, one almost resulting in no trailer. This weekend the fun begins! I feel with proper prep the cabinets will be okay to tape off when I start to work on the walls in a few weeks. We have no service as of yet at the property so I will do a before and after post on Monday next week I have been busy making throw pillows. I am no seamstress. But they will do. I purchased Tommy bahama Beach Bounty fabric off amazon.com. Here is a link for the fabric https://amzn.to/2ttnGBQ *please note that I would receive a commission for products purchased through the link this fabric was better than i could have hoped The cabinets will be painted in Benjamin Moore Rockport Grey, reduced by 50% As a side note we also got our address

I am Nicole and my husband is John. We operate 2 separate businesses. John is Woodworks Carpentry and I am Alternatively Yours and Nursery Rhymes furniture. We have both always loved the Haliburton Highlands and our dream was to buy property and move there one day. One year ago we found it, the most beautiful piece of property ever (IMO). 56 acres complete with waterfall and 1700 ft of road frontage across from Kennisis Lake. We are in heaven and plan to build there, one day. For now we have purchased a 5th wheel, we will use the property like a cottage and also slowly ready the site for building. We have had many wonderful friends put us up for the weekend while we work on it thus far, but it will be nice to just stay there and enjoy it. The 5th wheel is mint, everything is brand new and it is totally livable. I love wood, but this is too much! I am a painter after all Our plan for now is to keep the carpet and flooring. The counters are fabulous so they will stay as well. I am not
